Biodun Stephen is an award winning film director, producer and writer with notable films in her portfolio.

Biodun Stephen is an award winning film director, producer and writer with notable films in her portfolio. She founded Shutter speed Projects; a content production company in 2012 and have since created numerous and globally acclaimed entertaining and inspiring films and series. Over the past decade, she has created heart-felt human angle stories that draw inspiration from both her personal experiences and her environment.

Biodun’s experience in advertising, copyrighting and radio has been immensely influential in her career as a film maker. She is firm believer of film being a vehicle from entertainment, communication and education. One of her indispensable approaches to storytelling and film; is creating strong memorable characters that embed themselves in the audience and inure beyond the viewing experience. Characters like “Jobe” in Picture Perfect, “Todowede” in Breadedlife and “Sista” in SISTA, remain fan favourite till date. She focuses on bringing out the best in her cast while paying attention to production details. Biodun Stephen is inspired by the human experiences and look to continually telling impactful stories through film. Her most recent work MOMIWA screen, pulls all the heart’s strings with brilliant performances and delivery from the cast. She is currently developing new projects with a view to international collaborations in Europe and the Americas. She believes her stories should be global and is determined to explore these possibilities to continually create magic on the screens.

Dapo Akintoye

Dapo Akintoye is a passionate comms strategist, leader and learner.

With a background in Mass Communication, and various certifications and Diplomas in Management, Leadership, Administrative Appreciation, Business Re-Engineering, Performance Management, Client Service and Excellent Service Delivery, from Olabisi Onabanjo University, EDC Pan-African University, Lagos Business School, DLA, Tom Associates, CMC, and Jeman Consulting; Advanced Project Management, his thirst for knowledge is evident.

Dapo has spent over a decade in the Media and Communications landscape, in and outside Africa, having worked and run projects with; META, Dubai Tourism, CBN, NIBSS, Medplus, Cross Rivers State Tourism Bureau, Delta State Govt., Nigeria Police Force, amongst many others.

Formerly a Senior Consultant at AT3 Resources, where he led operations, PR and Media. Dapo was key on the pitch that won the Facebook, (now META), account for same agency.

He delights in working with a team of creative technocrats in harmonising resources and the media for the realisation of corporate and social goals.

Dapo writes well, with several Tier 1 bylines, scripts and pitches credited to him.

Currently ahead of Brand and Communications at The Grid Management, Dapo continues to chart a course in deploying strategic comms for corporate and social objectives.

In the realm of strategy design for the cultural and creative industries.I continuously demonstrate a unique blend of shared value creation, innovation, creativity and impact. By identifying opportunities for collaboration, investment, and innovation, I endeavour to enhance the economic viability of the cultural and creative industries while celebrating and preserving the rich cultural expressions and heritage of Africa.
With a passion for promoting cultural diversity and creativity, I lead a talented team in designing engaging exhibitions, performances, workshops, and educational initiatives that resonate with diverse audiences across Africa and globally such as Film Lab Africa, Creative DNA, Music Connects Africa across various art sectors in the region. Nky Ofeimun is currently the Senior Counsel, Legal and Business Affairs at Papaya Studios, a film studio with over four feature films to its credit since its inception in January 2023. She also serves and Senior Counsel to the Grid, a talent agency and entertainment solutions company. Prior to this, she was the Head of Legal at EbonyLife Media, where she advised on a number of groundbreaking international co-production and licencing deals with Netflix, Sony and Westbrook, among others.

She is the founder of The Cast's Closet, a platform showcasing Nigerian fashion as shown in Nigerian film and publishes a bi-weekly entertainment business newsletter titled "Nky Means Film Business".

Founder of Zaeda Oracle, a leading company dedicated in empowering Africa's creative industry. She recently launched the first edition of the Global Creative Legal Summit, a summit that was launched with the aim of educating lawyers and creatives on the principles of creative industry law.

Victor Mark-Onyegbu is the Head of Grants and Community Building at Africa No Filter, overseeing grantmaking and programing in both the Arts and Culture and the Media sectors of Africa. Before joining ANF, he was Sub-Saharan Africa Regional Program Manager at the British Council, responsible for delivering on the British Council’s creative economy programs in Nigeria, West Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), at different times. Victor has also held senior positions at the Nigerian Arts Council and at the ECOWAS Commission. He also served as an aide to two Ministers of the Federal Capital in Nigeria between 2007 and 2008. He has a bachelor’s degree in Applied Biochemistry, a Masters degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy and various public policy and strategic management certifications. In 2021, he was awarded an honorary doctorate of International Relations by the West Africa Union University and is a 2024 Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Centre fellow. Victor has gathered almost two decades of program management and portfolio leadership experience which he has brought to bear in advancing Africa No Filter’s mission of shifting harmful and stereotypical narratives within and about Africa.
